620 designed/built the gymnasium shell. It is a pre-engineered steel building frame, wrapped with masonry exterior. The roof has insulation, steel deck, plywood and shingles. The project was value engineered while designed to match the existing school and sanctuary. One example of the value engineering involved using masonry part way up on the walls and topping off the walls with steel studs, insulation, corrugated metal panels on the inside for sound reduction and veneered with brick and drivit to mimic the original buildings. The roof was designed with a wooden deck and shingles on a pre-engineered frame.
