Jim Gowe, President of 620 Corporation in Medina, recently announced completion of several construction projects for area businesses. In a time of tight budgets and construction slowdowns, Gowe says it is refreshing to see some businesses continuing to expand. "When the economy has experienced a downturn, the easy decision is to hold off on new projects," says Gowe. "But many business owners realize that this is the perfect time to complete some needed projects so the business will be ready to grow as things are starting to improve."In recent years, 620 Corporation completed these projects:
Fred Martin Superstore. 620 Construction was awarded the job of adding multiple additions at the same time to this highly-successful auto dealership along I-76. The work included adding a two-story high tech showroom, along with new service write-up areas, parking lot lighting and paving.
Falcon Industries. This project involved a 35,000 square foot fabrication facility with both jib cranes and overhead crane. This design/build project was constructed on a former 620 Construction lot on Commerce Drive in Medina, Ohio.
3D Metals. 620 Construction added a 56,000 sq. ft. addition to this modern coil slitting plant. The design/build project featured heavy cranes and a 40 ft. deep slitting pit.
Gowe acknowledges that projects aren’t as easy to come by this year, but they’re still out there. "We continually watch for new opportunities to bid on projects, especially close to home,” he says. “We’re proud to be the local expert in design/build capabilities for commercial and industrial projects."
